SMART pads cartridge: Contains two adhesive pads to be placed on the patients chest |

Cartridge Handle: Pulling this handle starts the Defibrillator and begins voice instructions |

Ready Light: Flashes every 5 seconds to indicate machine is ready to use |

SHOCK Button: Flashes when the machine determines that a shock should be applied to the patient. Voice instructions will tell you when to press. |

Call Emergency Services (999) Get the defibrillator, open the case and PULL the cartridge handle The machine will commence voice instructions by telling you to remove all clothing from the patients chest |

The machine will give voice instructions to peel off the protective cover and remove the pads |
|
The machine will give voice instructions to place the pads on the patient as shown on the pictures printed on the pads |

The machine will instruct you not to touch the patient and will spend a few seconds analysing the patients heart. If a shock is required the SHOCK button will flash and the voice instructions will tell you to push the flashing orange button |

The defibrillator will continue to monitor the patients heart and will give voice instructions telling you what actions to take next. If additional shocks are required it will advise you to press the orange flashing SHOCK button. If CPR is required it will provide voice instructions to help you give effective CPR. The Defibrillator should remain attached to the patient until the emergency services arrive |
